There is quite a convoluted structure on the main website when it comes to sponsors and sponsored pages. It has built up over time and mostly predates me joining the team. At some point, it needs a complete overhaul, but here’s a quick breakdown:
Company post type.
This would appear at bitesizebio.com/companies, except we have a redirect in place to go to the custom /mentors page which includes both companies and individual mentors (Essentially, authors, sorted in order of those with the most articles)
Authors
Every post needs to have an author assigned to it in wordpress. We could do what we already did with co-authors, so that there is a company field and, if a company is assigned to the post, it displays that, instead of author, but nothing has been done to initiate this. Note: If we did this, we would also need to edit all the custom blocks on the homepage, since currently, they pull aothor detaiuls so would require the same conditional override
